Admissions Criteria
We are registered to cater for children from 2 to 4 years in playgroup and up to 11 in Kidz club. At playgroups discretion Parents may be asked to stay with their child until he/she is settled in playgroup.
Admission Criteria
In order for a child to be offered a placement at Northway Preschool Playgroup when a waiting list is in operation which would only apply if we were full, the following would be considered.
- Brothers or sisters attending Northway Pre-School Playgroup.
- Planned future attendance at Northway Infants School / Carrant brook Junior.
- Children not attending another Playgroup/Nursery.
- Children starting school in the next academic year.
- Northway Infants School Geographical catchment area as defined by Gloucestershire L A.
- Length of time on waiting list.
In exceptional circumstances the committee may be required to consider appeals. These should be made in writing stating reasons why the appeal should be considered. The Committee reserves the right to make the final decision.
(Attendance at our playgroup does not guarantee a place at the school as the admissions process is handled by GCC)
